Between 1976 and 1978, a series of important Longobard artefacts were excavated in the city of Trezzo sull'Adda. The precious objects brought to light included a sword with a superbly decorated hilt, gold crosses with Aryan symbols and seal-rings with effigies. The most striking aspect of these artefacts is the originality with which they unite oriental, Celtic and Late Roman motifs.

The reproductions created by Antonio Migliozzi successfully recapture these ancient animalistic symbols in decorations faithful to the original. It was only through the use of ancient "crafstmanlike" methods that the original beauty of these objects could be rendered.

How can one resist the lure of the ancient symbology that seems to sum up our entire past in a compendium of Longobard, Celtic and Byzantine culture? Antonio Migliozzi's insight has succeeded in bringing out the aesthetic and decorative potential of medieval art. The results, as one can see from the images, are truly without equal.
